RECAP: Girls Night In

Yesterday, I held my second Girl’s Night In Event on Facebook. I must admit, it was a success and I’m excited about what is to come. I was hesitant about hosting the event again because the first one didn’t turn out so well. There wasn’t a lot of engagement and it was a bit disappointing. But I do believe that it had a lot to do with the fact that it was held on Instagram and not Facebook. There was a better response on Facebook than Instagram and I believe the shareable feature made it a lot better for the event.

Last Year it was just me sitting in my recording space at home to share a makeup tutorial live on Instagram. This year I was led to include my sister to be a part of the event. It turned out to be more than what I expected and it felt natural like we had been doing this for quite a while.

As I stated previously, my goal is to do this once a month. We had a few people request that we do this again, so I believe it is the time for such a event as this and what I’m preparing to do later with my makeup artistry business.
